Over $100,000 Raised to Fight Childhood Cancer

Maxpreps is proud to announce that over $101,794.00 was raised for the fight against childhood cancer and Calvert Football was able to raise $2,842 for the cause.  #UnityintheCommunity #TAC2016

Calvert fodamienotball and over 400 schools joined forces this past September to raise support for St. Jude Hospital and the fight against childhood cancer.  St. Jude was selected as the beneficiary of this campaign for several reasons.

At St. Jude you can count on the following:

Families are free to focus on their child: Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

We won’t stop until no child dies from cancer: St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened 50 years ago.

Every donation counts: Because the majority of St. Jude funding comes from individual contributors, St. Jude has the freedom to focus on what matters most – saving kids regardless of their financial situation.

Saving children everywhere: St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
